Hi! I'm Piotr Bąkiewicz
a product and design leader with over 15 years of professional experience in design.
My background spans packaging design, brand architecture, visual and digital design, with a strong focus on UX/UI and product design over the last decade.
Throughout my career, I’ve worked both as an in-house designer and leader as well as an independent product designer, delivering projects across branding, UX, UI, HMI, and complex digital products. I’ve collaborated with international and local clients including UBS, Qt Group, Xebia, Formant, XTPL, Sono Motors, and IconIncar, as well as early-stage and scale-up companies.
In recent years, I’ve taken on senior and leadership roles, including Lead HMI Designer at Unravel, where I lead research, product discovery, UX/UI design, advanced visualizations, and mentor design teams. I’m also the founder and leader of the HMI Design Guild, focusing on building design maturity and shared standards within teams.
Previously, I held Head of Design and Head of Product Design roles, managing and mentoring multidisciplinary teams of up to 9 designers, overseeing creative direction, product architecture, and client relationships. Alongside this, I’ve continuously run my own design studio, Dead Pixel, delivering end-to-end product and brand design services.
