Background
VAR stands for Video Assistant Referee.

To use the VAR system in local or global football competitions, you must be approved and certified by FIFA. This is a complex, multi-step process that takes place globally and involves a large group of people.
The project was initiated by The International Football Association Board, which at the time was responsible for the VAR certification process.

During the development of the project, it was decided that FIFA would take full responsibility for the VAR process and therefore became the PO of the project.
Problem
IFAB came to us with a specific problem - the current VAR certification process is too complicated - it uses too many tools (email communication, calendars, messengers), each of which has its own data source. This makes the coordination of all the tools and data sources complicated and time-consuming, and therefore prone to errors and mistakes.
Discovery phase
Our first task was to analyze the problem in cooperation with Project Owner, who was a high-level domain expert. Together we mapped the entire process, dividing it into individual user flows for predefined users, process steps, etc.
Design phase
We decided that user interfaces and user experience should be user-centric, easy to use, and make the journey through the process as automated and intuitive as possible.
Bright, pleasing to the eye colors, onboarding and tutorials available for new and regular users.
